I started at 3 pages/day so I'm already feeling the improvement. Some days I even manage 5 and occasionally 6 pages

Given that the first Kiki book was the only Japanese novel I read, does that by default make it both the best and the worst? I really liked it though and I am now slowly (4 pages/day) reading the second. Hope to read at least on more novel though it might be a translation from an English book I know

I loved The river has roots by Amal El-Mohtar last year - the audio version is excellent as well. Though I have a long love for folk ballads which is perfect for this book
