I wish I was going into 2026 with the optimism of Deirdre Barlow, but tbh, I mostly think it’s going to be pretty awful in many ways. I’ll try my best to be optimistic, though.

Attention restaurants: when offering a fixed-price menu, a slab of cauliflower does not offer equivalent value to a steak or a filet of salmon. Don’t pretend this is a decent main course.

My #DuvetKnowItsChristmas is my old childhood bedroom, now a very acceptable spare room with a comfy bed. The only thing is that it’s only about two miles from my actual bed, but I’ve had my orders.

My favourite piece of post I ever got was a Christmas card from a friend in Canada. He forgot to write the country on the address, but it eventually arrived…via Sri Lanka. So I have to conclude that the Sri Lankan mail service is at least as awesome as the Royal Mail.

Well, glad I came in early cos town wasn’t very busy at all and also I managed to pick up this sparkly Santa hat that is way too small makes me look like I’ve got a massive square head like Kryten.
