Beautifully put. One thing about DAI that amused me is the Inquisition is doomed after Corypheus is gone, and whoever rules Orlais still stick to the status quo, it's pretty funny considered the Orlesian Divine (which you almost have no control over) had far more concequence than the ruler itself.

I know I am being an ass but DA2 Aveline is so divorced from the fandom, up until I play the game myself, I legit thought she was just a one time NPC in the prologue instead of companion

And when I search around for the reason, the answer is always 'because she is not romanceable'

They already meet Calpernia(Anti-Slavery), Maevaris(Good Magister), Dorian and Halward(Semi-Anti-Blood Magic) in DAI, DAV just make it more clear and they still comes to the conclusion of 'Tevinter mage evil bad' according to the first game

Sometimes I do wonder if I played the wrong version of DAI

One thing I did not know I would appreciate in DAV (and partially DA2), is even when it does feel sloppy, they still managed to write a fantasy racism that hurts, instead of annoying

Instead of calling you racial slurs 24/7, they just give you a scene of why people act the way they are-
