I've been here only a short while and I've reposted depressing stuff about what's happening and opinions on how to respond.
So I thought it was about time I shared something to cheer people up.

My garden is tiny. I got rid of the pointless lawn in the shadier and therefore moister back garden.
The front garden is sunny so I've added drought-resistant plants.
In both front and back I've added more shrubs and two trees for more protective shade.

Iran was threatened for killing protesters. After two killings in America, is it ok for Iran to now threaten America for killing protesters?

Yep, even the millionaires are saying it.

Last time we checked, we didn’t vote for the super rich to call the shots. ❌

So far on here I've been all doom and gloom because the world's a mess and over the Atlantic an orange mobster is threatening us all.
And it's not as if other living beings aren't also suffering.
But it's still fabulous watching the BBC's Winterwatch.

Great investigation of the Nazis, racists and criminals mobilising the flag-on-lamp-posts movement. This is the kind of journalism that the national media could and should have conducted:

We’re using more water than nature can replenish, with irreversible consequences.
Lakes shrinking, aquifers declining, wetlands disappearing, glaciers losing ~1/3 of their volume.
4B people face water scarcity at least 1 month/year.

Jack Dromey's mistaken to attack excellent Green Party policies as 'unicorns'.
But he's utterly right that the Labour Party need to do far more to improve so-called 'social care', which is just a label for all care that isn't done by people paid by the NHS.
