A lot of folks had probably dropped off by this album, but hot damn does this thing go from start to finish. If I have a writing deadline or just want to feel like I could run headfirst through a brick wall, this is what I'm putting on.

Their second album. Before they became huge stars. Even with “She’s Gone” on here, I feel like this one’s overlooked as a whole album.

Also contains my personal favorite of theirs: “When The Morning Comes”

Fucking LOVE this album front to back. That video for "My Favourite Game" really lets you know they're not messing around.

I'm assuming he used that synth on Temporary Secretary, too, since it was all in the same recording session. Another song that was considered "cool" to hate on until recently.

Labcabincalifornia gets all the love (rightfully so), but Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde had already solidified their completely unique sound that's jazzy like Digable Planets but playful like Beastie Boys with all the guys interplaying to perfection.

Recorded before, but released after Mellow Gold, One Foot In The Grave went mostly unnoticed. However, it proved that he was much more than “the Loser guy” and laid the groundwork for introspective albums like Sea Change.
