As far as fursuit materials go, TPU is the way. I've made fursuit heads off of foam bases, resin bases, and hard PLA bases.

TPU is the way. Building off a TPU base is a life changing thing. You will never look back. It has everything; firmness, ability to cut/modify, breathe, lightweight, comfort.
