Among all the big bad things happening on our planet, there's one Big Good Thing, the sudden, startling rise of solar energy.
It changes the power dynamic, in every sense of the word 'power.'

4.6 Billion Years On, the Sun Is Having a Moment
In the past two years, without much notice, solar power has begun to truly transform the world’s energy system.

The simplest most straightforward artwork I have ever made.

The photograph becomes a quiet memorial to a unique species.

The sawfish has been extinct in the Mediterranean since the 1960s and is highly likely to be completely gone in our lifetimes.

I placed them on four sheets of photographic paper, a a special kind that makes a positive rather than negative image when exposed to light.

They were propped up on an old wooden cabinet in a room of rocks and fossils, they were dusty and had flecks of paint, remnants of careless redecoration efforts.
I found out they were sawfish rostrums (noses).

The last sawfish

In the collections of the old boarding school on the small greek island I found four mysterious long bone-like objects with what appeared to be shark’s teeth protruding regularly from each side like a weird giant cacti.

A re-enchantment with image making returning to the direct trace of light on photographic paper instead of shuffling around these cold pixels in the ruthless algorithms

akin to underwater time, the subaqueous thought of immersion - a multiplicity of fluid connections - time and thought flowing in all directions simultaneously

Thinking in circles, cycles and loops

Thinking in flowing curves and ripples, unquantifiable and always in flux - everything always cyclical not linear
