does anyone have tips for playing rapid pro very aggressively without dying too often? i realize that my playstyle leans more aggro and i wanna perfect that style but im not exactly sure how to work on it, my goals are to die less and aim better but ik there’s more to that when playing aggro / fast

yoo, i’m the captain of HAYATE!, a low level team born with the desire to play quick and be fierce, like the street fighter we’ve based our team branding around! we run a rapid pro + pen dive comp currently and are aiming to go as far as we can as a group, and we’re lf players with similar goals-

ntm on rpw, it’s not necessarily meant to bot for cooler but instead just use it as a supplement for faster gameplay, if you wanna coolerbot im of the opinion that you should stay away from rapid and play pen

maybe the fairer argument is that they can both play to similar paces, we just see it differently because we’ve both been playing the opposite kit, but it’s possible that they can both be equally as aggro and they just do it in different ways lol

rpd CAN turtle more but it doesn’t necessarily have to imo, you have 2 tools to get quicker kills and can basically act like a blaster squeezer if you really want to, there’s a reason a common main exclusive for rpd is gambit while rpw is almost always seen with abilities that help you get cooler

how is rpw faster? it doesn’t have a way to kill quicker and its sub is much slower to use + costs more ink, which means you have more downtime, and its special does speed you up but rpd’s also does by acting quicker and giving you a much shorter kill time and is much better at helping you js run in

spongey is the goat, haven’t watched him play too much but from what i’ve seen he’s more focused on rpw and playing a bit slower than what im aiming for (which isnt a problem, we just have different target paces from what ive seen)

i think the main issue is finding rapid players lol, i have one jp guy i like to watch that i could analyze a bit better but one of my main inspirations is majin (best rapid 1trick in west OAT / eu champion and 3rd place worlds 2024) and he doesn’t make content or have vods :(
