DC Republicans claim to care about the middle class while they’re cutting their health care and raising prices. In North Carolina, we expanded Medicaid and got health care to more than 675,000 of our friends and neighbors.

Growing up in Nash County, my parents, teachers, preachers and neighbors taught me about the meaning of integrity, hard work and looking out for each other.

Those values make us North Carolinians, and those values led me to my public service.

Everyone needs and deserves health care. DC Republicans want to take it away to give tax breaks to their wealthy friends.
