When you copy basically everything from some older RPG, but it still kinda works. Just a pity that they had to include this modernish "balance turns"-thingy where you have to save certain turns or else...! #jrpg

We could have so great 2D art nowadays. Why do devs so often resort back to pixelated visuals?

We could have so great 2D art nowadays. Why do devs so often resort back to pixelated visuals?

It annoys me to no end that there is a genre called "Metroidvania" and it pays no respect to one of its earliest entries: Wonder Boy III: Dragon's Trap.
Why not call it Wondermetroidvania? eh?

Play-In-Progress: Ys X, chapter 6. It is "fine" right now, keeps me motivated. But boy did they bloat the game. Dana and Monstrum Nox were swift, evade-based games with a great story, Nordics is system upon system upon system with great characters, great music, a meh story and a convoluted gameplay.

Play-In-Progress: Ys X, chapter 6. It is "fine" right now, keeps me motivated. But boy did they bloat the game. Dana and Monstrum Nox were swift, evade-based games with a great story, Nordics is system upon system upon system with great characters, great music, a meh story and a convoluted gameplay.
