You have been unable to lead the Democratic caucus. You can either admit that the Democrats will never again be believed, or you can have a vote to dismiss the eight traitors from the Democratic caucus.

Of course, to do that, the remaining Democrats would have to have a spine. I am sure that is too much to ask.

A two thirds vote is sufficient to kick people out of the Democratic caucus. Those eight should be kicked out now. They are traitors.
