Going to call it quits once I get to the loop. Missing that 63 bus from Ashland put me 18 mins behind the backup schedule and at this pace I’m going to miss the midway 54B 12:04 by a few mins even with a 0 minute transfer, so even if the second half went perfect I would end with a 9:02.

Not looking good but I did the east green line fork still continued onto red line SB from 63rd at 10:27. Going to go to 95th and use the red line northbound time to consider if I should bail

I didn’t make the “perfect” connection, chased it for half a mile but wasn’t gaining so I waited for the bus 8 mins later. 9:54 arrival to Cottage Grove on this one so it’s not good

Looking like there will be a perfect 2 min connection to 63 east at Ashland. If this works out and I make it out of Cottage Grove on the 9:48 it will be very good for the run

14 mins from Ashland. This is different than my original schedule but I had this as a backup. Had a delay due to smoking complaint in another car but there’s a 63 bus that could still work perfectly.

Got to Forest Park at 7:49 then ran to Harlem Lake arriving at 8:02. Almost caught my original scheduled green line at 8, but had to wait for the next one that left at 8:15. On it now 15 mins behind schedule.

I’m not sure what happened but the 318 on transit app doesn’t match the schedule. Maybe there is new GTFS for pace in 2026? Either way 7:50 arrival to forest park so would have missed my planned connection. Probably will begin running the 318 route when I get there. No good 307 connections.

Good point! Thanks. I’ll start planning this if/when I get onto orange. The schedule always looks good from the start until I miss one connection so I love the idea of having backup routes to fall back to if delayed

Most likely going to miss my 318 connection due to train leaving late but this operator is making up some time. Around 30 mins away from Forest Park now.

Doors closed at O’Hare at 6:25:23, so starting 5 mins late. There was another viable schedule to start at 6:30 but there were no other trains in O’Hare so that one would have been delayed too.

Looks like a 9:20:06 for final time. Not record worthy (or even better than my first time) but not too bad considering the schedule was broken at the first transfer and everything else was done on the fly.

The 1 minute transfer was too good to be true. That run didn’t happen but I got the next one and doors just closed.

Completed purple line, just leaving kimball now. Had to wait 13 mins because they canceled the run that was supposed to leave 2 mins after I arrived. Just have 2 more stations then I’m done!

Decided to take purple line first because I missed a yellow line transfer by a few mins. We’ll see how this works out. Made a less than 30 second to purple at howard after pulling into the SB platform so at least no downtime there.

Quick transfer at Belmont (arrived 1:09 left 1:11) and northbound on Red now. Making a final plan for Howard, will need to make the call once I’m there.

Arrived to kimball at 12:49 and left at 12:52, can’t complain there. 5/8 lines done just need to finish up the howard area.

Pink line train left on schedule and got me clark/lake with a 4 min layover for the next brown line train. There is a 17 minute headway behind me so I'm glad I got this one. 12:52 ETA to kimball from here. Way behind schedule but have to see it through.

Waited for 10 mins for the 54B and am on my way to pink line now. 10 mins is not bad for the 54B but my schedule only had 2 min wait for it so makes me further behind schedule (not that the times have been accurate at all since first segment was delayed).

On orange line where it looks like I’ll have a 7 min wait at Midway for the 54B but the bus doesn’t track yet.

Had a nice short ride to Adams/Wabash. The orange line train I’m going to get on passed us at Harold Washington Library so it will be here very soon.

Leaving chicago station now, I’m going to get off at North/Clyborne and run to Sedgewick to catch a brown line because the transfer to brown at fullerton is going to be difficult.
