Yes, it is David, not Fred (of The Wonder Years). I don’t think any of Jaffe’s other books was successful, but she did establish a foundation awarding grants to emerging women writers. (www.ronajaffefoundation.org).

Hope Lange’s reader's report (three sentences?) suggesting her potential (at least in Brian Aherne’s (Fred Shalimar!) eyes) is priceless. Crawford, Boyd, Bob Evans, Suzy Parker - embarrassment of riches.

One of the best of the James film adaptations, along with The Innocents and (of course) The Heiress, which I must have watched six times during lockdown. And Lee Remick makes The Bostonians worth a watch.
