I think even going back decades before the current miasma of misinformation it was understood that it was the rate of change in real income that was highly predictive if elections, not the absolute level. Has that relationship changed since, I would be curious to know?

this is why I think campaigning on "affordability" is fools' gold-- people will always say it is worse even if not, so what happens two years after the next election?

We are not fighting each other. All of us are united on loathing the capitulation of certain Democratic senators! "Getting back to the fight " now apparently has to include making you and these other quislings pay for your betrayal.

of course it's ridiculous, it's also what will happen. Google how many people think Biden is responsible for overturning Roe v Wade.

Dems will be seen as the ones who took the expanded credits away, so your history lesson is beside the point.
November 10, 2025 at 3:58 AM

I heard a profoundly depressing NPR interview with him a week or two ago, both he and interviewer completely divorced from reality and marinating in both sidesism, and accepting premise that the shutdown is Democrats' doing.
November 10, 2025 at 3:53 AM
ok but they already passed the earlier CR, so they will do this again.
November 10, 2025 at 12:43 AM

November 10, 2025 at 12:30 AM
That one was "meh," amd got worse until it closed.

what if we had a reporter interviewing him sufficiently prepared to challenge him on what he means by "communist" and that it is up to Congress, not him, on how to spend taxpayer money.
