Gotcha, I have hair that is both thick and fine but thinner in places (due to postpartum/perimenopause whackadoo hormones). Having longer hair and being a person is just incompatible sometimes. I just wash my hair when it feels gross and hope for the best!

Every other day is probably fine. I feel like it depends on the weather, especially humidity, and I live in a swamp. I hate dry shampoo, personally. My go-to when my hair feels icky is to put it in a high bun.

I was going to say that gardening works for me, but I think the reason it works is it gets me out of the house and gives me something to physically do, like a series of small tasks that can give me a little dopamine boost.
