These are the same talking points used by Grow SF and other neoliberal attackers. My take is that either a) he was extremely uninformed about local politics and did not think much about a $10k+ donation, or b) he was informed but cannot admit that he was wrong about Bilal.

For context: I am a DSA SF member and went to one of Saikat's SF resident zoom calls.
When I asked Saikat why he donated to Bilal, he said he believed they were both progressives but he though Bilal would do more to get housing built, and that he was disappointed in some of Dean's votes that...

I don’t mean to imply that living in the suburbs makes you a racist, but you have to know how history has impacted the modern state of our cities.
