RSPB Edinburgh Area Local Group (covering Lothians) hold outdoor & indoor meetings and fund raise for RSPB.
Great picture! There has been a big influx of White-billed Divers in the Forth during the last week. Normally a rare sighting in the Forth. Non-stop easterlies, lack of food? @rspbscotland.bsky.social
A smart ad White-billed Diver off Yellowcraig this afternoon, west of Fidra. Nice to be able to contribute to the current influx in the Forth. @birdinglothian.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

Roosting Wagtails in city centre. First 1 then 4 then more and more ... Circa 150 after about an hour watching. What a delight to watch and listen to. @birdinglothian.bsky.social @scottishbirding.bsky.social @edinburghnats.bsky.social @rspbedinburghlg.bsky.social

20 Russian White-fronted Geese including 2 juvs with Greylags at Whitekirk this morning. No prizes for distant phonescope pics but nice to find a substantial Lothian flock.

A Great Skua off Musselburgh yesterday was a rare winter patch record #birdinglothian @birdinglothian.bsky.social

Wintering Blackcaps! Fantastic!
Rarely see both m & f wintering Blackcaps on/near feeders at the same time. Last photo of 2 together was 04/03/16, her cap 1/2 brown 1/2 black. Now thinking 'she' is a juv 'he' with black cap growing in? This yr photo taken 19/01/26. @birdinglothian.bsky.social @rspbedinburghlg.bsky.social
