I though we already had war powers laws, Ted. Are you saying that what they're doing - killing people at sea and in land, kidnapping people - is legal? Because that's what you're implying, and that's what law info voters will believe.

Don't we already have a law that says U.S. cannot invade other countries unless authorized by Congress? Why buy their framing and accept their premise? Why not vote on authorizing invasion? Same result, but at least we don't concede the Maduro kidnapping is somehow legal.

To your point: I talked to my sister yesterday. She had been planning a surprise Harry Potter-themed party for my young niece and nephew for weeks. She had no idea until I told her. She's devastated.
