Has there ever been any attempt to explain why the US military isn't intercepting these boats, examining their cargoes, and holding their crews for trial if contraband is found? Wouldn't most Americans prefer this treatment of potential criminals over summary execution? Aren't we capable of this?

Dumping Tim Echols may not help. He appeared, from my vantage point in the Northeast, to be pro-solar and pro-nuclear and against continuing the fossil fuel past. I don't know how his Republican Party affiliation affected his work, but he seemed to be doing good.

I would support legislation to Anglicize all place names of Spanish origin with the United States. The Angels, St. Francis, etc. The only hard one is New Mexico.

The first accident seems excusable, just my opinion. After that happened, Boeing acted as if there was nothing to be learned from it. To me, with this prior experience, the second was preventable and a criminal coverup was responsible.
