New work! Babbage’s Mathematical Mammoth.
8 meters long, 3 meters wide, 4.5 meters high. A gigantic memory. Powered by steam. Designed in the 1830’s. Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine truly was a mathematical mammoth.

Mijn vader ging in de jaren ‘70 voor het eerst naar Ierland. Elk jaar markeerde hij op de kaart welke wegen hij had gereden. Voor zijn verjaardag tekende ik alleen de wegen die hij destijds had gemarkeerd. De wegen vormen zo de contouren van het eiland, zonder dat ik de kustlijn zelf heb getekend.
