i don’t know anyone who is disillusioned by trump’s lawlessness, but some courts have at least slowed him down in some instances., esp with this NG stuff

that’s my understanding as well - if they are already activated for the state, the POTUS has only a limited number of reasons it can use to federalize them out of that state activation (and you’re correct, there was a court case)

iirc - if a governor has already activated them, POTUS' ability to federalize them is then limited and can only be done in certain national emergency events.

ofc, that doesn’t mean trump won’t try all kinds of fuckery to get around those limitations or just straight up ignore them.
