Taking a break from unreal engine's madness to go play some card games.

Maybe I'll post some pictures of my silly board states at some point today.

I've been having a ton of fun writing engine code for myself again.

I even got the fabled *textured* triangle working at 144 FPS after my rewrite.

Hopefully the rest of my changes are trivial by comparison.

After basically a year off, I'm finally back to working on the NovelRT engine on the regular. Last night I managed to finish shaping the graphics API rework I've had planned for...like...2 years....

I am hoping to have some new renders to showsoon!

I knew the Apple/iOS development process was frustrating, but it is determined to make me become a monk and go live in a Christian Abbey somewhere at the moment.

How is XCode even real?

I love video games so much
And i love the people that make them.
I want them to have jobs that pay their worth.
I want them to feel safe in their working environments.
I want them to be themselves and to be expressive.
I want them to know so many people care about them 💙

PRISMYCK is a physics-based puzzle platformer that runs in-browser. It is fairly short, 1-2 hours depending on how challenging you find the puzzles. And it has a save function so you can put it down and come back to it between levels :>

I'm really excited to get this one-month-long game jam game out into the world.

I really hope people like it - like actually it's been nonstop work for me and the team.

I ended up doing direct GPU invocations at one point as part of this. My brain is fried.

With the game jam I'm taking part in ending in a week, and Shadowverse: Evolve set 9 dropping today, I think I might take a couple hours off from things to go play some card games. It's been a WHILE.

Pictures of my silly amulet havencraft antics to follow.

Life lesson learned - if anybody asks you to work with Unity Physics2D APIs for whatever reason instead of just driving a Rigidbody2D velocity with faked physics/maths for a game jam, no they didn't. #gamedev

Okay, okay, I'm finally here. Had quite a fair bit of faff to solve with DNS propagation for my handle, but now that's all sorted, I'll finally get to actually try Bluesky out! Took a massive break from social media which I think did me a world of good. So uh, hi I guess. 👋
