We got the first 2 goose eggs yesterday! An Embden and a Roman from the auxiliary flock. Sadly, the Roman egg was laid right inside the coop door and it fell out and cracked. We will be starting goose eggs soon!!

Photos of our 11 purebreed flocks, labeled on each picture. Excuse the roughness and mud, its the season of half spring in northern, WI and nothing we do keeps the pens clean this time of year. Let us know what breeds you're most excited to get from us this year!

Stopped by my mom's and got some new pictures of the auxiliary flocks today.

We're hoping for Buff goslings, but like Ive mentioned before the male broke his leg last year so we arent sure he'll be up to breeding. We'll see.

We have new labels for all our soaps and jellies!
Ive had to deal with using hand written labels for a long time and Im so happy with the thermal printer labels I found.
Spent the last week cleaning the old labels off and replacing with the new ones, ready for market to start!

73 chicken eggs just went in the incubator this morning!
If all goes well, & theres decent early season fertility, we should have a bunch of babies available by 3/17.
This batch has Buff & Light Brahmas & Black Jersey Giants.
All of our purebreed chicks will be $5 ea.

We will start hatching soon, hopefully... Waiting on the birds to start laying better. This year we'll have a few breeds of chickens, ducks, and geese, mixed heritage turkeys, & possibly coturnix quail. Check out our page on FB, The Rude Goose Farmstead, to see the latest updates and posts for now.
