Tl;dr it meets the very specific niche I've been holding out for: a small, premium, 3:2, d-pad-on-top device with a screen width comparable to PSP and good ergonomics. 99% shouldn't buy it.

The placement of face buttons and sticks is most similar to the Wii U gamepad, but in this form-factor it's a complete unknown.
Will it be at all comfortable for d-pad focused games (GBA, SNES, etc.)? No idea. 🤷♂️

I think the PSP/Vita layout is perfect for a handheld device, and I was looking forward to a clamshell device with recessed sticks and that configuration that improved on the first Flip.
