Honest answer? My booking ratio is a little under 5%, meaning of (almost) 2,500 auditions, I’ve gotten over 2,300 no’s. It could be the next one or the next 100th. I know actors that saw 1k no’s before a yes. My perspective about it changed when I was told, “that is the job.” Whatever it takes.

Ask agents, not voice actors about representation. Agents want to know if you have something they need and can sell, not whether you’re good enough. Just make sure you’re contacting the right agent for what you’re sending (commercial, animation, etc.)

Per genre is the norm, and showing range within that genre. That’s not to say they don’t cross over a bit. Doing character work in commercials is marketable and happens for example. The idea is to stand out at what you do well, so don’t be afraid to break the rules - you didn’t hear it from me. 😅
