For us as tech ppl, not complying with it being called Ai is probably the best 1st form of protest in my opinion.

Agreed, I think the way it's marketed now vastly overstates its value far too much.
They're paying to push news that it will take jobs, but it can't do that well.
A huge financial bubble is being created by all the misinformation in terms of what it truly is.

It's scripted algorithms (code) that digests & categorizes collections of data previously created by humans (posts, emails, publications, etc.), that is being overhyped by companies with agendas to seek profit & control in different ways.
It's good at math tho.
