Greg, until Levien and Kaplan tap out there is no real hope. They are franchise holders to further their real estate ventures. Folks say Levien really wants to win, I doubt it, but if true he is the most feckless owner in sports since Harold Ballard in Toronto.

Why would any free agent want to sign with DCU? Wooden Spoon in '22 and '25, longest spell w/o playoff appearance in MLS. DCU would have to massively overpay to get someone to come here voluntarily. Thanks Jason, Dave and Ally for making this a "Typhoid Mary" franchise.

At first blush it seems odd that the Belgian League is higher than MLS, but the Eredivisie is lower. I know each of those European leagues have teams that are non-competitive -- sort of like the Scottish Premiership, but it's baffling.

Charlotte could barely break down a 9 man DC United while playing with Zaha at the end of the season. Charlotte are not good.

Picard has a Moe Howard haircut. FWIW, Issa Tall was the runner up to Ally Mackay in the DCU General Manager hunt a few years back. Levien and Kaplan really know how to hone in on the "good ones."

Incompetent refs can cripple a league. What if that tackle blew out Rodman's knee? The league loses a marquee player. If players know the refs are top tier, may they are less likely to make reckless challenges.
