Spoiler free thoughts on the first episode of Hazbin Hotel: meh. The songs didn’t work for me, and it’s either sprinting headfirst into edgelord teen fanfic troupes, or setting up for a predictable twist that can still be very fun if executed correctly. 6/10, standard first episode for most shows.
