7 or 8 shows this year. 3 of them had around 1,000 cars. I'm going to try and make it to Camaro SuperFest next year as well.

Holly this year. Got maybe 1 or 2 more planned next year that are closer as well. Hopefully they work out. May need to rework my gear as 80 pounds is a bit much now for me.

Went to quite a lot of car shows, lots of big shows this year. Think the smallest one I went to was 400 cars.

MCFC? No haven't been in 6 years now. And no current plans with how expensive the new hotel is.

Ren Faire, I finally returned this year. Made it twice in full gear too. And boy after 5+ years it was an adventure of realizing how much older I am now.

Let me end this with a little nugget of helpful information.

The whole routine "have you tried rebooting the device"? Don't laugh at it, or ignore it. JUST TRY IT.

Rebooted the network controller and imminently the memory usage was down to 75%. And all the dropouts have stopped.

That was until I checked the other day and it was sitting at 93% memory usage only running 2 programs. firmware update was 4 months ago, programs were just recently updated. Rebooting programs made no difference. Just weird.

So spent the weekend diagnosing trying to figure out what was going on.

And finally Ive been having network issues. Internal network issues. Random devices dropping and connecting that are hardwired. Apps running super slow for the network. Tried a bunch of stuff. Been an issue for months. Gateway/router had high memory usage but read that was fine.

Then I needed up update several docker containers that help run my smart home and make scripts to auto update and start the containers.

Yes, I have my own local hosted smart home voice assistant (I named him JARVIS).

Can defiantly say switching over to Home Assistant has been such a boon.

But its up and running and snapshot backups have been made. Makes me feel a lot better knowing I have my main nas backed up. But man storage is expensive. Running through my storage capacity:
8tb das
14TB on the main rig (10 being nvme)
28TB on the main nas (only 21 backed up)
22TB for backup nas

Ended up skipping Proxmox entirely and just directly running Truenas on the mini pc. Kinda wrecked other vm plans but oh well. Can get a better mini pc for that at a later date. Current one is just using an Intel N150, Not a whole lot of wiggle room for VMs even with 16gb of memory.
November 12, 2025 at 3:10 AM
And a TrueNas VM. This is for storing snapshots of my main nas. Immediantly got ransom crashed during the replication task running. The actual VM was crashing. Turns out its really unstable to try and operate a das via usb passthrough in Proxmox to the TrueNas VM.

Looks like KBJ did the only thing she could do.

bsky.app/profile/mike...
KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.

They are friends though. They eat other bugs, including spiders.

I was surprised UPS was still flying that particular model plane.

The clean sweep in Virginia is amazing.

PS3 was the last console I ever bought. I had the full size backwards compatible one. Still do actually come to think of it.

I ended up switching to PC and never looked back.

I don't see a PS3 game. So guessing that's it.
