The swirl skirt! I basically made a bunch of odd shaped hip rolls and sewed them to a fosshape base for stability.

Thank you past me for choosing to do the applique 🙏 this Voile would not have survived embroidering directly on it. The collar is standing with milnery wire, and then I'll also add more wire to the edge once I apply the bias binding.

We're at the fake ice cream stage. I modified the recipe to use plaster powder instead of flour, and it's definitely an interesting texture 💀 here's praying to all the gods they dry through completely by next weekend 🙏

Swirly bois™ I had to pivot on material choices because they end results did not match my tests 💀 but it's all good. The pivot material choice actually behaves better with the wire

The beginning of the life cycle of a caged wig. Everyone that clutches their pearls over fosshape wigs are gonna have a stroke when they see what I'm going to be doing in addition on this wig 🤣

Collar embroidery! I opted to do it in a two part applique on Korean silk since I didn't want to multi hoop on the Voile I have for the collar. I sketched the design on the collar pattern for scale, took a photo and then cleaned it up in photoshop and then digitized in hatch.

Working on the thigh garters! Had to manually scallop the edges of the satin with a very tight satin stitch.

Definitely looks like something now! I still have some trims, buttons, and bows that need to go on the bodice but I've made some significant progress!

Taking a break from the bodice before it breaks me. Working on some small things like the tights. Hand tacked on the faux garters tonight and I'm considering starting on the beading too.

These lower sleeves make we want to commit something or be commited 💀 it was a whole thing where I started with stretch fabric but ended up with the satin. Overall they look great and how I need them though so I can't complain.

Sleeves are beaded! They did take a total of 220 beads (110 per sleeve)

Gonna need some more beads 💀 there's 110 (55 each sleeve) on these right now. I estimate I'm going to need at least 200-300 beads. These are only about 1/3 way beaded.

The flounce underneath are 7 layers (each sleeve) of the last of the sheer curtain(s) I got ages ago. There's also a layer of rigid tulle on the bottom for structure I harvested from a prom dress.
