I've been using a pair of Gunnar's, specifically the Sheadog with Clear lenses. They've done wonders for me for the past 8 years, though that's just the experience of a single random person on Bluesky, so take it for what you will.

Slayer's Fang has been really fun, if just for the fact I can get multikills with a Shotgun, though the truesight is handy in a pinch. Alethonym has surprised me with how much fun a Triple GL setup can be when you add the enhanced movement from Rocket-Jumping/Grenade-Hopping.

Bungie has had a real problem with maintaining older content since Forsaken. Barring when they're forced to fix something because the new patch broke it, many core systems/features usually get introduced, and then just left to coast. This is why many parts of the game feel disjointed.
