I’m nervous that you’re perplexed about the Mets. I’m feeling pretty positive now, and I think a trade for a real LF from our overstock of infielders might still happen.

VC344? Boots are much better on VC344A, packed in with the landspeeder.

Except the moral for this modern political moment might be to apprentice yourself to a red and black tattooed former Sith Lord and become the re-canonized, family-friendlier version of Darth Talon.

I obviously meant to type BICHETTE, not Bellinger. 😜

Pivot to Bellinger?

You already have the perfect response for him.

Thanks! That’s the one I want. 😁

Is there an 8-bit Big Modern! shirt? I see it on the collect ‘em all but not as a stand alone shirt.

I felt a similar exhilaration watching Wake Up Dead Man this week. The high level of craft is evident even to a non-movie buff like me. It’s exciting to feel that the director obviously cared so deeply about the quality and detail of the film, and really made it show. TLJ has the same qualities.

This feels like a very Wilponian offseason so far. What’s the plan for closer? (Don’t say Devin.). What’s the plan for 1B? (Don’t say Vientos or McNeil.). Rotation? CF? LF?

I’d be nervous giving out that contract. But I’m also nervous about the alternatives. What is the vision for how to bring back a better team, for 2026 and longer term?

I would still prefer that Luke would try to neutralize Kylo before going into exile. More in line with his approach to dealing with Vader. But I see it’s harder to do when you fear that you’re the one who created the bad guy.

I like this concept. Take action as the Force wills it, but not necessarily with an intent to cause or avoid a specific outcome from a vision that you may have misinterpreted.

Luke takes this point to its extreme in TLJ-time for the Jedi to end. But Yoda didn’t want Jedi to end. How can Jedi take any action that doesn’t change future? Is there a line between ‘impact’ and ‘control’? Was the Path of the Open Hand correct? There must be some middle ground…

This is a helpful idea. I never got this implication from TLJ, though. So Luke saw Kylo’s potential to do great evil but, in contrast to ESB, refrained from interference so as not to risk making things worse. But then one of the worst futures came to pass anyway?

A difficulty here is much of the story of Snoke, Kylo and Luke from the time of Luke’s exile is still undefined. If Luke knew about Snoke, on Amaxine Station, did he have reason to believe that Snoke would use Kylo for more terrible consequences?
November 27, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Do we know for sure if Luke knew about Snoke when he went into exile? I guess he didn’t know about the FO. But if Luke knows Snoke is twisting Kylo, he’s got to be concerned that Kylo won’t just fizzle out hunting Luke.
