Donald Trump spread lies and conspiracy theories to his followers to make them believe the 2020 election was rigged against him, then incited an angry mob to attack the U.S. Capitol to stop the election certification.

Did you mean "linear correlation"?

As in, "the higher the credibility, the higher the willingness to make that argument in public."

An inverse correlation implies that "the higher the credibility, the lower the willingness to make that argument in public."
