Not one local was interested in the hard manual labour.

Ironically, I think the reason we don't have them or hedges in median stripe on motorways is because of wildlife.

We'd have a lot more roadkill and potential vehicle accidents (swerving) die to animal and driver interactions.

Conversely I think every single road and motorway should have a protected green belt.

From 5m wide to allow ditches and field division on smaller roads to 30+ m on motorways to manage noise & pollution

We actually drove through France avoiding motorways and found lots of opportunities near the towns where they are improving Park up facilities but also if discreet you can get away with pulling into the woods.

We'd a lovely break with a partly converted van / camper. Just getting into the mountains for a few nights. Wild cooking and sleeping in bags was a lively reset

I had / have a 2 seater and it was a pig but perfect for training when paddling myself. Was big enough to take 2 adults and 2 small kids at one stage.

Same kind, sit on top. I regret the size though as tough to single hand load, move etc

Worked with a guy who couldn't walk out of a building without sneezing. Everyone thought it was funny until we realised its actually a thing.
