Throwing out a line in case any tabletop enthusiasts or artists might be able to point me in the right direction, but... anyone know any image archives that aren't contaminated with 10,000,000,000 AI pictures? Google Images is a dumpster fire when it comes to looking up portraits/tokens/landscapes

I'd like to echo the sentiment that we should ALL be concerned about payment processors overstepping their boundaries -- not only is it unfair treatment to a legitimate form of business and its practitioners, they absolutely won't stop the censorship there if we let them get away with it

Since Roll20 seems to think 'hate speech' against fascists is a thing(???), might I take a moment of your time to recommend FoundryVTT as an alternative? They have a firm stance against AI and won't tell you you're standing on a 'slippery slope' for calling the literal bad guys out for who they are!

A mod popped up on the Oblivion Remastered Nexus (that has since been taken down) changing the body types in character creation from simply being labeled 'Body Type 1 & 2' to "Male and Female". This is a big part of why I can't take them seriously when conservatives call anyone else 'thin-skinned'

I've seen people complaining about the "historical accuracy" in AC: Shadows, and while I doubt their argument comes in good faith, I just have to ask: what about the series where an assassin fistfights the Pope over his hyper-religious murder-cult screams 'historically accurate' to you??

Games should cost less, devs should get paid much more, and those who are highest up the corporate ladder should be taking pay cuts to make it all happen

The whole "Randos get mad and try to review bomb BG3" fiasco further demonstrates why review bombing is dumb. In cases where review bombs are arguably justified, boycotting is far more effective anyway, and in many cases, it's a bunch of bad actors crying about how a game is 'woke' or (c)

I feel like we've seen way more official support for modding in video games over the past several years, and I'm so here for it; mods have always had a special place in my heart, since they're a fantastic way to personalize your favorite games in big (or small!) ways and enhance their staying power
