I don’t even consider any of these people to be in tech. This is “the worst people in finance”

(But also I’m all legs so for me personally 9 is what 5 is for everyone else 🤣)

9 - cause pockets are nice.

And it’s not because “I’ve used FSD too much”. It doesn’t matter if autopilot is on (becomes the grandpa that drives too slow in the left lane and cuts over at the last second, or splits lanes, or randomly brakes at highway speeds) or off - in which case it’s just constant reckless behavior.

There’s a difference of living somewhere you don’t need a car and driving a Tesla. Teslas are just crazily unsafe.

V3. Would love to use something other than Nest app or Google home.

the problem is that blatantly obvious stuff like “we need lines and stations where the people are” and “we need lines from here to there to address volume” are known and even funded and die in environmental and social impact study periods that last decades

how was his voting record pre-stroke? I always felt like he changed views instantly post-stroke - like it damaged his brain in some significant way.

Today we’ve got 4 primary JS cloud runtimes. Node - the basic offering. AWS lambdas, cloudflare workers, and bun. So if you presume you’re going up against AWS and cloudflare buying bun makes sense.

JS runtimes have become the table stakes for edge compute and lambdas
December 4, 2025 at 6:53 AM
vlt is a runtime? Also Anthropic bought bun not vlt.

More concretely: it’s like if the person with weird unconventional stylistic opinions and their own custom build scripts became the cto and opted to ban anything but their specific style, required admin only PR merging, and disallowed using any ecosystem tools.

I found it unusable

If you’ve never used bun you’ve missed out. A lot of great DX ideas. Some misses. Has pushed the ecosystem forward a ton.

And that’s how Chik-Fil-A became the steward of the Apache foundation.

I feel like I get the reference overall - but I’m not sure what VLT refers to.

Actual monitoring by a security company - not just the ability for me to go view. And integration with the usual suite of environmental and security sensors.

Looks like a good camera - but sadly the one thing all the monitoring companies do is vendor-lock the camera.

Ah I think the reason that hasn’t shown up is the combo of it seems to be camera only and it doesn’t have a remote monitoring option. Interesting though?
