I play games and hate fascism. He/Him.
You don't get to have more money than you could spend in several lifetimes without being a psychopath. In the future, this behavior will be identified as the hoarding disorder it is. But for now, you are asking for empathy from those who have demonstrated by getting to this point they have none.

Little of Column A, a little of Column B, I'm sure.

Honestly kind of refreshing to hope that actions might still have consequences, even for the powerful...

This is what they don't get. All the "calories being spent" now is just the warning. "You will suffer as a business if you make these choices."

Hogwarts Legacy did well enough to merit a sequel, so it might not matter. But we'll be out here making those choices anyway.

I'm a huge proponent of found family over blood family. The people in your life should have to earn their place there and demonstrate they deserve to stay there.

It's a tough situation. Best you can do (if you want to maintain a relationship) is to distance yourself, protect your mental health and be careful when and how you engage. Maybe at some future point looking into cult deprogramming techniques, but it won't be the time now while they're "winning."

I can imagine that's a lot to manage, but it does look incredible. And it's not just the hair that looks good there, either...

At least you have editorial control. This was exactly the experience of working in a small radio newsroom, except then you'd get to ask "This isn't time sensitive, why can't we just hold this for next week?"
