this makes it sound like i care more abt engagement than i actually do but i really have noticed a trend of interactivity decreasing online. i think the internet really is going dead. it’s not enjoyable to be online anymore and the ai slop/ads are making me consider a flip phone

telling the 16 yo version of me that passed up an 80s ibm pc running dos 3.0 bc i was broke that it does get better. but unfortunately u have to fix the motherfucker.

update: betamax looks like it was busted in to be fixed previously so i don’t have high hopes but when the holidays are through i’ll take a more thorough look. i don’t know shit about hardware but it might be worth learning for this. and if i fry her oh well she was $11 lol

technically i would be interested in selectavision but the players dont seem to be too reliable and are rarer than a laserdisc.. and there’s like no movies so its just the novelty
