Have folks suddenly forgotten that women do not have equality in Saudia Arabia, Qatar or UAE? That interracial marriage requires state approval? That same-sex love warrants imprisonment, torture and cruel death? Yes, the active corruption is news-worthy, but don't ignore the passive kind.

Why does this story show up, now? I tend to trust ProPublica's research/journalism. It seems this problem spans administrations. Makes it seem like China is clearly responsible for something bad. Gives cred to Trump's argument for tariffs. How do we stop the market (addiction)?
