Seriously. Every week without fail.

Now we're all talking about TikTok and have been doing so fervently since Friday. I'm willing to bet that it gets "solved" by Wednesday.

That's largely why I'm leaving most social media. I don't want to have to go through the Panic of the Week every Friday.

By Monday, news had gotten down to talking heads discussing what happened and by Wednesday we're just finding out what OTHER horrible things happened while that news cycle dominated everything. Then we get announcements on Thursday about what MIGHT happen Friday, and the entire cycle started over.

I paid attention during Drumpf's first term. EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND was dominated by some huge news story that kept everyone distracted and ate up the news cycle. Seriously, a story broke on Friday afternoons and that was all anyone talked about on Saturday and Sunday.

Confirmation hearings
Mass deportation prep
The complete lack of ANY laws or legislation meant to protect our digital privacy (b/c if you have digital privacy, we can't maximize our advertising $ on you).
Any number of other goings-on that further serve to undermine society while we're distracted.

TikTok made money. America loves money. That's really the entire story for me. It's GOING to return in one form or another. But, for right now, it's a big story that can get everyone up in arms and grab all of the attention so that no one is watching...

How did we get here?
1. The inexorable marriage of religion to the state under Reagan.
2. The relentless defunding of public schools.
3. Lowering standards to give the appearance of success without the substance.
4. Death of the Fairness Doctrine alongside the birth of the 24hr news cycle.

Just so, a Chaotic state may require the cessation of energy and become disordered before being reintroduced to move towards order.

Chaotic simply is, Disordered was allowed to become. Both, I think, are purely subjective since order can be found within chaos, and disorder can be the state in which things are found. But that's the crux. Active and static. And disorder MUST have chaos introduced to it in order to become ordered.
