The only thing that a circular economy (and the right to repair) hurts is capitalism.

Buy when needed, not because of FOMO. Repair and upcycle when possible.

Done with the endless chase for profits. Not my problem.

You still use Twitter?

Imagine if just a fraction of that money went to solving world hunger?

Have you tried looking for QR codes in the fresco though?
November 27, 2025 at 11:30 PM
That... might be a problem.

Let's check the numbers again.

Thank you for providing us with one of the better (😉) sources of big tech info, critical analysis and at times hilariously frank recaps of the utterly bizarre times we are living through.

Keep shedding sunlight on the greedy, the BS'ers and the scamsters. Glad this show exists (bet they aren't).

Is the long-game for the big tech elite to move to Mars and then NIMBY the shit out of Earth?

Basically, turning out beautiful blue marble into a feeder planet for the red dust utopia? 🤔

Yes, as is Ecosia, Yahoo, etc.

Unless you're using Yandex, Google or Baidu, all of which have their own privacy and security concerns, you're likely pulling from the Bing search index.

This is true. If you're enabling browser-based settings, cookie clearing should have no impact.

If you are enabling the toggle via the DDG website only, then yes, cookie-clearing will reset your preference.

I don't log in, but presume the setting should stay enabled too.

As long as you don't clear cookies.

Wish this was the default and opt-in wasn't the norm for so many, but this is a start!

At first I thought you were talking about retiring from hitting the weights, crushing iron and maxing out the gun show... but yeah, there is much better uses of mental energy.

Testing times, but you got this.

Use that URL, it will automagically filter out AI search, AI image filter, etc.

Update your browser's search settings to use that URL instead.
The string I use is

And 6, whilst the first of the 'positive' leaning sub-scale, seems to indicate apathy?

Also never be left in a room with 1. Ever.

Apparently this test still allows for the driver to bark into a flip phone whilst driving: "Oi, ewe be-ah tell Rodg dat eh as to ave moi fahkin monee son, owrit?"

True story.

Thought I was about to be taken to a bank robbery instead of my hotel.

The democratisation of information and the fall of institutions is double-edged, in that you now have actual journalists competing with hobbyist and fringe folk parading as journalists.

Has made it much harder for them to stand out, and us to verify & focus on true sources of credible information.

Had this recently myself. Except it was because of burnout.

Now I get to things when I can. No one's life or livelihood is on the line over this email.

Mental health comes first.
