#Katzen zählen zu den beliebtesten Haustieren weltweit. 🐾 Ein internationales Forschungsteam konnte nun mithilfe genetischer Analysen nachweisen, dass #Hauskatzen nicht wie bisher angenommen vor 6000 bis 7000 Jahren mit jungsteinzeitlichen Bauern aus dem Vorderen Orient nach Europa gelangten. 🐈

Genomische Analysen von Katzenfunden aus knapp 100 archäologischen Fundstätten zeigen: Die Hauskatze kam offenbar erst vor rund 2000 Jahren aus Nordafrika nach Europa.

Guten Morgen zusammen - wie immer mit einem aktuellen Bild der Sonne via Satellit SDO, heute mal wieder in mehreren Wellenlängen kombiniert und daher richtig schön bunt.
Die ganze erdzugewandte Seite der Sonne in verschiedenen Farben, vor allem in blauen und bräunlichen Tönen. Sie gehen in Wirbeln wild gemischt ineinander über. Rechts unten ein großes dunkelblaues Gebiet, das ein koronales Loch anzeigt, also eine Region geringerer Dichte in der Atmosphäre der Sonne.

Guten Morgen zusammen - wie immer mit einem aktuellen Bild der Sonne via Satellit SDO.
Der rechte Rand der Sonne in orangeroter Farbe. Etwa auf der Zeigerposition zwei Uhr löst sich gerade eine große „Materiewolke“, die seitlich in die Umgebung strömt. Das passiert immer wieder mal auf der Sonne, sieht spektakulär aus, ist aber harmlos. Dagegen wurde kürzlich an anderer Stelle eine Eruption beobachtet, die zu einem verstärkten Sonnenwind führt. Ob das möglicherweise in der kommenden Nacht Polarlichter erzeugt, ist schwer vorauszusagen, aber durchaus denkbar.
