I fell in love with philosophy in high school tnx to Socrates and the idea that, when we discuss with each other, the correct reasoning leads us all to truth. After 25 years I'm more convinced than ever that this is delusional on so many levels, but can't let go of this idea.

I'd love to go to HOPOS 2026. The last edition in Vienna was great, I had an idea for submission, and I have research founds that can cover the expenses.
But no way I'm setting foot in the USA.

When I go to a concert I always try to get the setlist as a souvenir. I've had some strange ones over the years (the Dum Dum Girls one written on the back of a communist protest flyer), but King Hannah's setlist written on a paper plate takes the prize.

Perdoni la difesa d'ufficio, c'è da dire che gli accademici italiani difendono l'orto perché abituati a un costante regime di sottofinanziamento, paradossalmente peggiorato dagli occasionali e brevi periodi di vacche grasse (vedi pnrr).
