Since then, she’s accompanied me through a lot of the highs and lows of recovering from my trauma. I listen to her playlist when I’m feeling bad, or write little vignettes of her shenanigans. She’s been my custom character in several games since, too.

I’m really happy she’s a part of my heart.

Back in December, about a month after starting my new job, I picked up a game I had started back around the time all the bad stuff happened and promptly dropped.

The game had a character creator and I made her as my character because it fit her perfectly.

She leapt from the game back into my life.
