I listen to Gil Fronsdal (Insight) and Ajahn Brahm (Theravada). The Zen standard is Thich Nhat Hanh's "Heart of the Buddha's Teaching"; SFZC has a rich and deep podcast channel. I also remain an Alan Watts fan. His audio is available on Youtube. My blog has a lot of recommendations in this vein.

Definitely. I grew up on the same beach I later lived on as an adult, and it had completely changed. Offshore currents vary over time, changing the beach itself. In the case of sea lions and seals, it was extremely tough federal laws protecting sea mammals. Seldom saw any alive when I was kid.
