yaml question, do you quote your string properties? They appear to be unnecessary unless it’s ambiguous. My faulty DRY brain wants to remove them.

Is cloud IAC broken or is it really a problem with the underlying cloud infra?
I corrected a typo in a security group description and it wanted to replace the security group, the attached node launch template and then the whole node group running all workloads 😦.
It’s as un-agile as you can get!

Reconcilers…it’s occurred to me (too late, probably) that a lot of systems should be based on two concepts: a declarative model that defines its goals and a reconciler that achieves those goals. Kubernetes is an obvious example but it’s clearly more than an implementation.
