First child-free, work-free days for ages. Went up to Cashel campsite on the east side of Loch Lomond for a wee break. Took a walk up in Cashel forest and along the loch side. Really wanted to get my paddleboard out in the water but feel like I'd need more hands to cope with that and the dog...!

Summer hols pt2: London, inc birthdays x 2!! Kids turned 12 & 16. At 31deg+ our sightseeing activities were limited, but we visited British Museum, Tower of London, Camden Market, canal walk, outdoor cinema & found the bookshop on a barge. Also lots of birthday cake and ice cream, obviously.

Child2 braved the river Benji had the best time with his doggy pals and I made friends with a cat. Highlight was a fab pottery workshop where we all made a wee pot!

Birthday weekend on beautiful Bute! Took the campervan for a couple of sunny days, great pitch at the campsite, pottered about Rothesay and Ettrick Bay.

First proper campervan holiday! Child1 and I (and Benji the dog) spent a few days at a campsite near Aberfoyle. Lots of walks through the woods and along the river. Planning our next trip already...

Campervan is now sporting an awning and bike rack, but hasn't found a name yet. Any suggestions?

Benji and I took our first overnight trip in the campervan. Survived the cold, got woken by some very loud owls and remembered how much I hate sleeping bags, but otherwise a success. Looking forward to exploring further afield if spring ever comes.
