'n that's about it, I don't think I'll post more of these rants as I think of them as... unnecessary or dumb, maybe even shallow, but I do try to keep an open mind + I talk too much when the right thing comes up.
Let me know what you think though, if anyone's listening hahah...

Read between the lines, Asgore's heart is not wretched, nor pure, and so is Toriel's.
They're both great representations of mentalities, using either your heart or mind to get to a goal, and yet both were proven wrong by the last human.
There was more than just determination behind their actions.

What would've happened to Asgore should he had used a soul and tried to turn back?
Would it have been the same if she hadn't left the throne?
Most importantly, what was Asgore's actual plan? 7 souls to break the barrier is one step, but then what would have been next?

Her flaws are negligence and persistence, and despite this she still tries her best to aid those in the ruins. She'll never be the perfect mother, but she's not the worst one either.
In the end, she ends up blaming Asgore for what had gone, but what she fails to see is that his outcome WAS necessary

Toriel's a kind woman to a degree. In Undertale we see her more matured, but in Deltarune it's clear what she was supposed to be back before she met the last child.
She's sweet until things don't go her way, and despite her temperance, she can't bring herself to step up against Asgore herself.

Despite the appraisal, she's more characterized as a woman of logic, she thinks and then acts, but yet she's stubborn with this mentality, of which she ultimately ends up making mistake after mistake for that, a human falls and she either doesn't notice them pass by, or she leaves them.

Back to Toriel, she ended up leaving after such a claim, and let me tell you that she wasn't against the idea of killing humans either, even if one was enough to leave, that also meant 6 others would've been needed to break the barrier.

The plan was to ensure safety one way or another, hell, I think he might've not wanted to destroy humanity at all...
We have to take into account who Asgore is, and not what Asgore did. He's nicknamed "fluffy-buns", told as someone who's kind and respectably strong, decisive too...

Toriel was meant to be the brains here.
She thought that if Asgore would just use one soul, break through and return with 6 more it'd have been more efficient and easy.
But, Asgore didn't want to risk his people and expose them to the surface, specially if they'd become the target of humans.
