I'm grabbing a bottle of bourbon and heading to the streets of Richmond. I'll drink whatever gets put near my face hole.

My man. That is some sexy shit.

Now that I'm all the way through, here's what I loved about it. It shows what a huge world of options there to live your life. I grew up a normie suburban kid. You went to HS, then college, then Go Adult. And here at age 51, I'm still astounded at how others go about living and creating.

This is so fucking good. Liked that it just flows like his side of a convo, and not a written out Q&A.

Lotta words for me to agree that, damn, Biden accomplished quite a bit with thin majorities.
January 28, 2026 at 7:48 PM
Here's where someone usually comes in and points out they didn't have 60 until several months in, and then Ted Kennedy croaked, etc. etc. Plus the different make up members of the D caucus(both chambers) Obama had vs Biden.

Even recent history, it's complicated!

Would loooove a discussion on the pod over this. A common theme on bsky is "The next Dem president must have everyone in jail by 1/31 or they're a failure!" and I look at the lack of horses throughout. So, like, uh, how do you actually do this?
January 28, 2026 at 7:15 PM
They have less meme knowledge than voting counting knowledge. Sad!
January 28, 2026 at 6:15 PM
Man, you can't even use memes right.

Alrighty friend, I think you need a juice box and a nap. Have a wonderful day being mad on Al Gore's internet.

If you'd like to hold the regime accountable, you need to find where actual levers of power are. In that regard, you need to look to the states. There's a fair amount of energy bubbling up with state DAs and AGs in particular. Congress ain't it until at least Jan. '27.
January 28, 2026 at 5:06 PM
I'm sorry that you are mad that 53-47, but math is math. Please, I am serious asking you to find 20 names here that would remove the guy in the Oval. I did the research for you, too:https://www.republicanleader.senate.gov/senate-resources/republican-senators
January 28, 2026 at 5:02 PM
My best case scenario - Earnst, Collins, Murk, McConnell, Paul, Tillis. I can squint and see guys in tough re-elections, maybe? Fill in the blanks, please.
January 28, 2026 at 5:01 PM
I'll be more direct. Assume articles of impeachment get to the floor of the House and pass. Let's also assume the GOP doesn't pocket that and allows a trial. List 20 GOP Senators who will vote to convict.

I'd also point out removing one person doesn't an administration undo.

People in Fairfax with "In This House..." signs were apoplectic when Descano beat Ray Morrough, who had absolutely shit the bed on several high profile officers-shooting-citizens cases. Good to see he's still doing good up there.

I can't believe Carrol called for a pass instead of handing it to BeastMode, but y'know, Malcolm Butler was cool, too.

Worked in software dev contractor for a three letter firearms agency. Previous contractor got shit canned for being 2 yrs late. Pretty immediately, why is Phase 3 late? Because you just fired the guys who hadn't completed phase I and II. Don't care. I jumped ship at first opportunity.

If we're doing weird Toad stuff, y'all remember when they were on H.O.R.D.E '97, which was Primus, Neil Young, Beck, Ween, Soul Coughing and....Toad. Woof.

I've called my rep, McClellan, weekly on this. The staffer is a gem, and obviously being a professional. She didn't really have an answer to my "How many dead Minnesotans do we need for the Congresswoman to get on board here?"

Every college kid who loves live music should go do crew for a day. Completely changes how you see a gig. Plus unloading a completely full 18 wheeler at 7a, and reloading it back up at 1a, builds character. No crisis of masculinity during load out.
January 27, 2026 at 8:37 PM
Worked local crew for them in college, 1995. Good dudes. Obviously good live but find them a little I dunno, bloodless these days. Probably a me thing.
January 27, 2026 at 2:15 PM
Appreciate the time, Adam. I'm working on Toad the Wet Sprocket's "All I Want". This should be simple, he says, like an absolute moron.
January 27, 2026 at 3:28 AM
Get fucked doomer, we're celebrating wins and replenishing the ammo stock of hope and resolve. Take this shit elsewhere.
January 27, 2026 at 1:47 AM
Fuck off, doomer, this an evening for celebrating incremental wins.

My 1978 toaster oven of an engine on my sailboat required(IIRC) non synthetic. 1977 Yanmar 8 hp. Single cylinder.

Yes, I likely have modest hearing damage from it, why do you ask?
