i'm wondering when google added this "Skip password when possible" setting 🤔 i think that's the reason why simple email registration behaves like OAuth. i tested turning it off and site registration came back to how the good ol' days were

registering on a site using plain email even if it's a gmail address is still better than using google's oauth
